Mathematics competitions or mathematical olympiads are competitive events where participants sit a mathematics test. These tests may require multiple choice or numeric answers, or a detailed written solution or proof.
==International mathematics competitions==

* A+Click Math Challenge; international online competition
* Archimedean Challenge — Seasonal (four times a year), 4-months-long, for 13 - 18-year-olds (individuals or groups), participants research a famous, long-standing, unsolved problem in mathematics.
* Caribou Contests — world wide online contests, provided in English and French, that are held six times throughout the school year for each of the grade levels 3/4, 5/6, 7/8, 9/10 and 11/12. These contests are suitable for all students, not only those who are strong in mathematics, and uniquely contain some interactive questions. Results are available on the evening of the contest day.
